Craft Beer Voyage Romania started as a series of curated beer tastings, created to bring people together around meaningful experiences and well-chosen beers. What began as intimate gatherings has grown into a platform built around exploration, learning, and connection with beer as the common language.
At its core, Craft Beer Voyage is about beer as an experience: a way to tell stories, understand craft, and create moments worth sharing.

About me
I’m Ioana Coca, brewer, curator, and the person behind this project.
For more than ten years, I’ve been exploring the world of fermentation. It all started with home-brewed beer in 2011, and from there the path unfolded naturally. In 2015, I co-founded a brewery inspired by Belgian styles, a project that grew steadily and received international recognition, becoming part of Romania’s evolving craft beer scene.
In 2024 I chose to close that chapter and make room for new projects, without stepping away from what truly defines me. My curiosity for fermentation never stopped; it simply expanded.
Beer remains at the heart of my journey, and fermentation is the thread that connects everything I do. Kombucha is one of the directions that grew from this path, a natural extension of my curiosity for fermentation, offering a non-alcoholic alternative rooted in balance and everyday rituals, without stepping away from beer itself.
When I’m not brewing or organizing tasting events, I read a lot, travel, and work on documentary film projects. I love bringing people together around a table, a shared glass, and the time spent together, because, in the end, that’s where the best stories begin.
